The Alex and Leo arc is one of the most gratifying stories in the comics. They are not only good for each other – they’re good for me. Maybe most of us?

I am not a Trudeau fan, but I like this arc. I like the Alex and Leo relationship. Dr. Shiply is a personality I’d like to know.
All in all, good work Garry.

What’s an arc in comic land?
Mythreesons almost 15 years ago
PS. Whatever it is, I’m glad it stopped the political comments that were getting unpleasant.

An arc in comic land ( and other storytelling endeavors) is the time span in strips (or episodes) that a particular plot-line covers. Depending on the storyteller this can be days/weeks/ months or even years. This IS a good arc– hope Garry continues/comes back to it.

This has been a great storyline. Makes us remember how lucky we are…

Note on romance vs. politics: We can all enjoy the holiday that GT gives us from politics. But aren’t we just like those Republicans who, in order to escape from political reality, read Palin’s book and fantasize about retaking Congress?

Leo and Alex rock. Yeah Garry!

Stop talking about how nice it is not to have to be thinking about politics! That draws attention to it, and could well bring it on!

It is nice that everything isn’t necessarily a political allegory, but more than that, this arc does illustrate that behind and beyond every political controversy, there are PEOPLE who live, love, and try for better life. These are the people who are affected by the “big” issues, and somehow they get to keep on, whether or not they get their help from or in spite of the guvmint.
