Regarding my rather glaringly obvious comments yesterday on this strip and Shoe:
I’d like to thank those of you who have said the same things before, and those of you who showed your support. The comments I read yesterday were overall very enjoyable. Especially the compliments ;-)
Today, I think I will fade into lurking mode (for the most part). Be good, remember you never know who is watching.
I don’t know the original storyline… did Connie actually show up at the wrong address?? If it was the wrong address after all, then when Phil sees her tonight, he would not expect Connie to be angry with him if he’s not actually living with someone else, as she currently believes he is. He would simply get a huge surprise to suddenly see her there in the front row, so far from home!
Put on some dark sunglasses and a big hat. I’m sure he won’t notice you. It would be a big surprise, but if it were me, some warning lights would go on that she came up there just to return a pipe. This should be interesting though.
Just wondering, howtheduck – do you look ahead to see what the strips were the first time or do you search back after you see what today’s strip is?
LuvH8 – comment away if you have the desire. I’ve learned a while ago that I don’t need to join the trolls (at least I hope I’m not one of the trolls. sometimes my comments may seem short, but that’s because I’m still waking up. :-)), there are plenty of nice people here who want an enjoyable place to comment and read.
She is rather invisible looking. I see why she needs that makeover. If she put on a fake mustache, nobody would know she’s a woman. Phil obviously thinks so too.

I’m with you. Anyone can post anything they want. The worst will be bleeped or removed by Liam. The rest is just opinion, and everyone’s entitled to his or her own.
Heaven knows I’ve made a fool of myself often enough. Makes me a little bit glad for the anonymity.
I thought she was just going to (in her own words) “forget about Phil, visit with family and go straight home”????? Of course, she also wondered whether or not she’d follow her own good advice. Obviously, she’d rather be a stalker than a good (or at least decent) mother!
To think that I actually DEFENDED her decision to stay and see her family for a little while (despite Lawrence’s accident) if she hadn’t been home for a very long time and it may be another very long time before she got back that way again!!!!! What a waste of my time and breath!!!!!!!!!!
By the way, Connie … if you REALLY wanted to just be an inconspicuous “secret, invisible admirer”, you wouldn’t have mentioned to the club’s hostess that you were a friend of someone in the band! Let’s face it: You were probably hoping against hope that they’d place you in a prime viewing place - - - not only so you could see Phil … but so that he’d see you too!!!!! Just put your big girl pants on and admit it because the only person you’re fooling here is yourself!!!!!
Oh for crying out loud, you people are the most judgemental group I have ever seen. Are you all so wonderful that you can walk up and “cast the first stone”? I really doubt it. No one can. Her son is fine, and he will be fine!
I know if I were Lawrence I would be very angry that my mother didn’t come back after my suffering an accident. Or he could be wishing he can live w/ Mike from now on, and hopes she nver comes home.
I missed the first time around, as this was not in my local paper and I’ve only read web comics some 10 years or so. I understand neglect, but also Connie’s apparent desperation. And while they ARE just imaginary persons, I play an imaginary person myself in SCA and love it;-)

then again, she could just be one of 5 or so that are friends.

This will let you know how much he looks at his audience while performing. See if he notices you even in the front seat.

Connie, PLEASE, take the little bit of self respect you have left and GO HOME TO YOUR SON!!!
mroberts88 almost 15 years ago

Well I guess trumpet players have groupies too. Watch out Connie for bras and hotel keys being thrown onstage. What a crazy life Phil leads.

@ Kittylover2 = while I totally agree with you… this bunch thinks taking cartoon characters apart is fun and games and they get pretty ugly.

It is fun & games.

Connie is going to get hurt the most in all of this – and she kinda has it coming for her dumb (maybe naive is a better word) actions.
