Ummmm… alicorns?!

I have that problem with horses. If you can’t do it on your horse it isn’t worth doing.

I just looked through some of the 2012 strips, and I must say. Either Phoebe has grown a lot, or Marigold is shrinking. Phoebe looks huge in today’s strip.

Ok, how about if I change unicorns for rhinos?, does that count?

I know the feeling…I find it hard to think of anything but pony sometimes. I like Marigold’s expression in panel 4.

Another author providing a humorous take on unicorns is Craig Shaw Gardner’s “Exploits of Ebenezum” particularly “A multitude of Monsters” beginning with chapter 4.. If you like Terry Pratchett, this would be right up your alley. I suspect Dana may have read this as part of the model for some of Marigold’s unicorn acquaintances. This may be a little difficult to find as it is from the mid 80s SFBC two volume set (volume II was the Wanderings of Wuntvor". I believe the unicorn became a recurring character much to Wuntvor’s distress-it had to do with a certain lack of life experience;-).
