Didn’t Zonker still have chatty plants in the 80s?

And they say smoking weed has no harmful side-effects.

But is Mike hearing them too? or just Zonker? It doesn’t really convey. Mike’s expression didn’t change. I for one would think my eyebrows at the very least would go up if my plants started talking back to me And yes, I do talk to them. My bonsai gardenia is still alive after over 4 years. I do NOT have a green thumb. :P

I was going to mention that, Puzz, but you beat me to it. Although I was once an English teacher, it was my younger daughter who put me on to the correct quotation. I’d thought of Red Ruffensor’s observation, too. Plants certainly don’t know beans nowadays.

I just watched ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ over the weekend. Now that was a talking (and more) plant.

I believe you’re mistaken. Although Hamlet is addressing Horatio, he’s talking about Yorick, whose skull he’s holding. The quote is “Alas, poor Yorick, I knew him Horatio.”

I personally don’t want my plants talking back to me. I have enough people in my life talking back to me.
