Run Jason, run!

I DO, Jason! Life lessons make games more interesting to me. But then, I’m a temperamental Catalyst (like your mother seems to be) and you’re probably a temperamental Theorist…meaning that you value competence, not self-actualization!

I’ve left chicken out all night. It was fine.

Did you guys see the news article about a week ago about the armed police raid on the dairy farmer whose heinous crime was allegedly selling unpasteurized milk to people who wanted to buy it?

I use the funnies as a teaching tool at school.

Leaving raw chicken out for the night isn’t a problem; you just have to cook it thoroughly, which you should do anyway. Leaving pre-cooked chicken out all night would be a problem, but that involves different micro-organisms. You could always re-cook it, but chicken tends to dry out when you do that.

I would never have guessed it too! Poor Jason.

A great ‘role playing’ game is Pandemic. You draw your ‘role’ and the only way to win is for everyone to cooperate to eradicate the outbreaks. No co-operation, no win. I’ve played it twice, and hope to play it again at the Dragon tonight.

Since when does Andy cook chicken – I thought she gave them vegetarian food? Maybe a Tofurkey??

When I worked on dairy farm, we used to drink unpasteurized milk as a kick. One woman swore it was why she survived a rattlesnake bite years before they had anti-venom. The problem comes from people stupid enough to keep it for any length of time. It deteriorates badly, even when refrigerated and you shouldn’t travel with it unrefrigerated so a long trip in hot carr and… One idiot like that and the seller AND the health department get sued, one for selling and the others for not stopping him once they knew. And our health laws are generally to keep idiots for hurting themselves so they have to assume we all are idiots. But you have to know, back then the fly problem during the summer meant a lot of special pesticides were used to keep them away from the product. If that’s still the case, that raw milk could have a lot worse stuff in it that would be destroyed by heating.

I left a chicken out one night also, and it was fine. We, however, became deathly ill.

They recently closed auditions for the second season of “Worst Cooks in America.” I wonder if Andy’s family nominated her.

Acrullay, notinksnaymore, that’s not correct. Bacteria lives for about 4 hours. After 4 hours, it dies and breaks down and releases toxins. So, if you left chicken at room temp for 4 hours or less, you could cook it to 170 for at least one minute and it would kill any salomanola bacteria on it. But, if it is left a room temp for more than 4 hours that gives time for the bacteria to die and the toxins to be released. The toxins can not be destroied by cooking. So, you could get salomanola from chicken left out all night no matter how well you cook it!

Just marinate it, it will be fine. What’s the worst that could happen? Oh, be sure to invite the in-laws for dinner. (Hee-Hee)

Jason-have you heard of dark souls? That mentality is PERFECT for that game
