As a kid I remember them showing him reading “A Tree Grows in Brooklyn”. I always wondered what the big deal was. One of these years I’ll have to get around to reading it.

On other literature themes I read “Slaughterhouse Five”. Very odd book. I also read “Animal Farm”. Keep in mind I did these for fun, no school. “AF” shows perfectly why a communist society can never last. “All are equal, but some or more equal than others”. Too humanity can’t be bothered with finding ways NOT to kill each other.

Sorry I am not usually awake this early, but I guess my brain is on overdrive.

I am always fascinated by the people who claim to know the correct number of people on this planet.A fellow Mensan back when I was a member, insisted based on “ecological principles”, that 500 thousand was the upper limit. All the people on earth should die except for those few based on a man-made criterion..If women insist on power over themselves, overpopulation will not be considered a problem as the number will soon drop, especially if they keep their word when they shout out NEVER AGAIN!

Wolf, I made a similar suggestion to him without promising to join him. Never heard from him again. Made me wonder if I pushed him over the clif, but at least he went alone, not like Pol Pot who was well on his way toward killing two thirds of his own Cambodia based on his communist theory. I wish he had started with himself.
