LOL!!! I was enjoying the strip, looking at all the different parts and then …. then I saw Larry’s feet!!! Priceless!!!.My dentist sits to my side, not at the top of my head. The only time I get really worried…….. … is when the hygienist says, after 30 minutes, she has to sharpen her instruments.
Yes, I had a recent trip to the dentist… and it always impresses me that I get myself into a relaxed position, only to discover five minutes later that I’ve locked every muscle and joint into place, curled my toes, and can no longer feel my fingers. Then I re-relax, and do it all over again. And again.
I once worked for an ear specialist. When the toes curled like that while he was cleaning an ear, we called it the Wizard of Oz sign. Face scrunched up on one side was the Popeye sign.
My new hygienist tortured me with cold-temperature instruments; I have some sensitive teeth, sensitive to the cold surfaces touching them. Cold food and drinks don’t bother them. The dental student who did filling restoration five days later had me wondering if I wouldn’t get the sucking tube back in my mouth before my mouth overflowed from both saliva and the water she used; a big piece of plastic inserted in my mouth kept me from swallowing. I did have to wipe part of my neck from the water she missed spraying into my mouth.Perhaps Larry Bucket is tolerating this dentist as best he can, without pulling any devices out his mouth himself; he just wants it over and done with.

Everything at the dentist could double as a torture device.

Me too! Love the feet coming out of the shoes – that’s what it feels like for me every time!

It looks like Larry is trying, with his hands, to push machinery away from his mouth.
