Re: “…the orange Nissan Xterra…” Now That is a Great color for finding one’s way in a packed parking lot!. I once had a Dodge Dakota whose paint was turquoise blue. Since it is a relatively rare color here, it wasn’t too difficult to find it in a parking lot…providing I wrote down the aisle number/letter! (And, would you believe, I was waiting for a traffic light to turn to green…and, right on my left there was the Exact Same truck, right down to the wheels and camper! It was Really, really weird to see that!). =-O

I have heard that some Universities and Colleges don’t allow Freshmen to bring their cars on campus. If they have to go to town, the students have to take a shuttle. I guess this isn’t the case at Mooney.

EXCEPT for the Debris Laying Haphazardly About in HER Room.

It Begs the QUESTION: Has Luann Truly and Suddenly Discovered a Hidden Talent or does it means She’s being Her old Controlling and Manipulative Self with the “Objects” in life?

Only Gunther Berger Knows for Sure. And HE is Lost in the Treacherous, Hidden, Forbidden Jungles of Pe-Ru…….,

@ nkbush1787: ^Thanks! Sorry I couldn’t respond sooner. I guess actually sort of what Luann is referring to, only with words. Like a mental “card catalog” of ‘cross references’, which seemed to come in pretty handy in school. I also have enjoyed writing (mostly song lyrics, poetry, parodies and some prose, even speeches) since I was young. There’s also my affinity for word association/pattern games like “Chain Reaction”, “Lingo”, or even “Mad Libs”.– And the rest, I guess is a combination of “studying” at “Wotsamatta U” (taught by “Rocky And Bullwinkle”, Lol!) and a few other “parodying influences”…..- And one more help: When I enjoy the comedic stylings of “penologists” here like “Brd” And “JPuzzleWhiz” and a few others!

Like many people, I “misplaced” my car in a Wal-Mart parking lot…in searching, I found 8 others identical to mine. Fortunately, I used the car alarm to determine which one was actually mine.

When your chartreuse car breaks down, you can tell the tow truck company, “It is EXTREMELY! green, green with an explination point, and when you see it, you will know what I’m talking about.” That was my 1971 Ford Ranch Wagon after we got its light yellow-green color changed to the cheapest green paint color the shop offered. It was then so much easier to find than a silver Corolla.

Ah, Luann, you’re a typical work-in-progress teenager, but in your confusion, you are dull. Your life lacks the edginess and cliffhanger aspects of Gunther and Rosa’s journey into the unknown. The only danger that Luann faces is Tiffany having a costume malfunction on stage and stealing all the attention. I can only hope that Crystal will drag Knute off on a Goth adventure to Stonehenge or Transylvania.

Very true. That is why when I pull into a crowded parking lot I usually like to park next to a mountain or something like that.

Some malls that featured outside lighting on the lot itself also hung numbers on the poles so you could remember the number nearest your car. I usually park in the same place each time I go to the mall so it’s not that hard to remember.

For me, I try to associate a “street name” with something I can “bandy about” in my mind as I go along (if it’s a city street and the place is a bit further than a space), or if it’s a stadium, I use a bit of “Mnemonics”, like if it’s section “D-2”, then it’s " R2D2". So that’s what I try to do…something along those lines….

I can understand how you phrased that. Most of the time, people hear “DOC” and immediately think “Big Boss Man” or “Orange Is the New Black” or “Classic Stripes”. There’s a lot to “Corrections” than just the prison parts. Our DOC is put under an umbrella of a larger department, called “Public Safey And Correctional Services”. They also process the fingerprints and background checks for various state and local departments for job candidates and also those processed in the penal system.

-In Health Information/Medical Records, I’ve had to deal with requests from the various hospitals associated with DOC care that treat the patients. I’ve run across a few other areas too that are not directly prison but are under the DOC/Public Safety/Corr. Svs. umbrella…– Speaking of “Orange”, I hear a DOC somewhere was going back to the stripes, because “Orange Jumpsuits” have now become fashionable to wear. The head of the system (I forget the locality) even mentioned that people have worn such to the malls …. The head of the DOC stated that as their inmates go out on “work study”, it would be confusing and detrimental for public safety (and of course too easy for escape), which is the reason they are changing their jumpsuits….

" I wonder how many of them wear them that way not realizing that in the prison, that was to let other inmates know you were “available.” ^No lie! Pet peeve of the Mrs. and I. And sadly the predominant “fashion of choice” among the male “hip hop” crowd who “pride themselves on their “manliness” ….

On the rare occasions I go to a mall, I usually note the name of the store directly in front of the end of the parking lane I park in. For example, last night I went with my wife to Arden Faire Mall.

Yeah. The only reason I go to my main mall anymore is for my hair salon. Otherwise, there is no other reason, as I can get pretty much what I need on-line. Maybe once a year during Christmas shopping season I go to find things i can’t find on-line, but that’s it.
