Riley: I don't care what anyone says...it ain't fair!! Why do I gotta suffer and pay dues?! I got no time for living "average". I ain't got no car, no jewelry, no yacht - nothing!! I want mine's now!! Huey: You know, a poet named Kay Ryan once said, "Who would have guessed it possible that waiting is sustainable, a place with it's own harvests..." "Or that in time's fullness the diamonds of patience couldn't be distinguished from the genuine in brilliance or hardness". What do you think that means? Riley: It means you're a nerd and poetry is stupid. Meanwhile, I need a scheme to cop some real diamonds and convertible jag by the fourth grade.

The way you’re going, you’ll be old enough to drive in the 4th grade.

One of these days, Huey is gonna snap and kill someone.

While I applaud Huey’s attempt to educate his brother, patience alone won’t provide material wealth. Willingness to act, either with or against the system, is required. Nobody is handing out diamonds and Jaguars, Riley. In other words, it ain’t yours until you make it yours.

Funny that he knows a Jag is a villainous car.

Wait till Riley finds out the Jags back then were just fancy a Ford Taurus (shared platform).

In other workds what Kay Ryan says:
..and here’s my mother’s poem::
What “kills” the rich is
that they can
sit on only one chair
and
eat with only one spoon
at a time…
