The on-line portion of this strip have actually gotten better, as long as you go to the right place. Sites like webmd make a real difference. OTOH if you want crappy advice on-line, you can always find it.

As for the medical practice itself, well that’s a tough one.

I’m diabetic…my doctor prescribed Ozempic. At first, I had a few side effects, and my dr told me that my body just had to get used to it. Over the next year, I suffered all the side effects. Sure, it worked as far as eating less and not feeling hungry, but the constant nausea, running to the bathroom, pain in my side, dizziness, etc., ended up with me losing my job due to absenteeism due to the side effects. The day I lost my job is the day I quit taking the med. It took me about 3 months of being off to get back to feeling normal. Now I’m hesitant to go see my doctor, because I don’t want another med pushed on me.

It’s a true over all assessment. I know many nurses, and from their talk, I gather that if you go to the doctor too often, just to talk, and waste that doctor’s time, if you are not physically sick, they will make you sick or even ill…all that “exploratory” surgery is part of the scheme…a good money making scheme, that’s for sure…

Actually, Huey is sort of on the right track. Everything can kill you if misused. Even water, if drunk in excess, can kill you. Some fraternity pledges have died from being forced to drink too much water during a hazing event. Consuming too much water throws off your electrolytes and screws up how the body communicates with its various parts.

Silly Huey: that’s not a healthcare site, that’s Australia’s tourist board site.
