Really? You mean you’d rather Gus give them a business that will require them to work, hard, 16 – 18 hours a day, six days a week, than give them a butt-load of cash that will enable them to do whatever they wish? With friends like you…

I agree with gr6. It is up to Gus when he does with his business, screw that entitlement bs. If he wants to sell, thats his decision.

What about the staff and their families? It would be nice to let them know they are about to be out of a job. I have to agree with Father he promised the kids way back that they didn’t have to worry, and now it looks as if he’s royally messing with a whole bunch of lives.

I’m sure Jimmy will find a way out of this, but at the moment Gus is a liar, a rotten employer and a sad excuse for a parent.

I don’t know which is more interesting. The strip or how wound up some of you are getting wound up over a comic.

Good idea. How did you ever come up with that? Sounds too sensible.

I tend to agree with you to a point. I think kids should earn their own money not just inherit. So did Jefferson. But since he’s their employer, I think he does owe them at least a few weeks notice! Just when was he planning on telling ML? (it’s not too late now to plant a few crops to come to harvest this fall if she knows the income will dry up at the end of Aug.)

But if Gus has already sold to a new owner who’s going to keep the staff and pay enough to keep Gus and Mary Lou set for life…

(Yeah, I know he still should have told her!)

If you don’t have kids, don’t get any. If you do, I feel sorry for them.

I hate those banner towing airplanes. There’s all these noise ordinances (no loud Harleys) but these guys fly up and down the coast pushing over 100 db on the beach. I’ve often wondered how loud it must be in the plane.
