That Bag Reminds Me of the Old Firesign Theater routine:

Announcer – "Well Alllllllllright!!!! ….. Open it Up!!!Woman – “Why, THIS is a Bag of S***!!!”Announcer – “But Its Really GREAT S***, Mrs. Presky!!!”

Say, Bernie? If You Insist on Living with the “Mystery Roomie” Start Wearing a Hat.

It Would Complement Your “Annie Hall” Hairdo and You can Play “Ring Toss” by Throwing Your hat unto the Horns of that Mask When You come back to Your Dorm After a Long Hard Day of Student Protests.

Ah…. hopefully a nice, quiet day, today I will try to keep it “brief.” :-)

Nothing to do, really, but wait until the next new person (who said “Hi”) is revealed. I will, however, compliment Bernice on her decision to not interfere with her new roommate’s belongings. And I am a little disappointed that Luann wanted her to open them. Just shows the level of maturity in both.

Lu, Dez is not keeping secrets from Bern. They haven’t even met each other, yet. How could she be keeping secrets?

Everybody is assuming something illegal. It could be something for her health, such as insulin. This would justify a look, since insulin requires refrigeration. She could also have Chemo meds, which would NOT require a look. Or it could be an ounce of Caviar…

One would hope if it were something “perishable” that Viper would have given instructions for its safe storage (i.e. put in in the frig, etc.). She did not. So I’m thinking it’s not something that requires any special care of that nature.

“Thursday’s chat bubble from off – panel character…”^LOL! -Same thing happened on an episode of “Fat Albert”. There was a fire in the junkyard (the clubhouse, actually), and the next scene was Albert running to go put it out, but yelling; “Fire! Fire!” But as he did that, it faded (to set up cues to go to commercial). When it came back, it faded right back in to him yelling “Fire! Fire!”. So, if one were to rewind a bit (5 seconds or so) on the DVD, you can have him yelling that for a while….. you could even caption it as saying: “Meanwhile, five days, three hours, 12 minutes, and 30.52 seconds later….”

I missed out on commenting yesterday because our server was down all day. I was impressed by how stunned both Luann and Bernice were in the 3rd panel (and by the fact that the ‘toon had 4 panels).-To me, the most important thing about this arc is that both girls are realizing that they are in for some big changes in their lives. Bernice actually said she had to grow up fast, and Luann was saying so this is college -I think that’s the heart of what’s going on. Not the fact that the two have a different take on whether they should sneak a peek at whatever Viper delivered in the medium sized brown paper bag…

Ah, yes, thanks! I think, increasingly, web coders are orienting HTML towards the IE (Microsoft) engine and not Mozilla (FF) or, at least, not doing the “responsive testing” that would generate Mozilla oriented results, so FF isn’t rendering certain things, like YouTube embeds. But if I right click on the “invisible” area and select “Inspect Element,” I can get the native URL string and plug it into YouTube directly.
