My Dad said he had a baby doll that he wouldn’t give up when he was a boy. Finally his mom “sent it away to Aunt Clara to have her repair it.” Oddly, Aunt Clara never repaired it and sent it back. Every day he’d ask if his baby had come back yet and every day the answer was “Not yet. Maybe tomorrow.” Eventually he forgot about it and that was that.
Go Linus, go!!Standing up to the bullies in our lives is a defining moment. Glad he had one so young, it’ll stand him in good stead in the future. Once you know you can do it, it gets easier.
interesting to note that he specifically states he’ll give up the blanket “when his mom tell him to”. So that means Mrs Van Pelt really sees no harm about the blanket. Which proves Lucy probably takes after grandma XD
Yay Linus!! My Mom threw my fur cat in the furnace while I was at school one day (it was bald and no longer had any stuffing but…..). She tried to replace it with a plush cat — no deal, so we went out and found another one. My Mom learned a good lesson that week and she was genuinely sorry.

Ol’ Buddy will need a nice, warm gentle wash. Loved the Linus speech, especially the reference to his Mom. Good one today.

I wish I’d had that comic to show the babysitter who wanted the little boy I knew to give up his blanket (or, even better, that boy’s mother).

I’d like to engrave Linus’ reply on a metal plaque and pass it out to everyone, child and adult, who just needs to say NO! to someone.

Lucy deserved that telling off, no question. But it is good to know that Linus loves his mom more than he loves his blanket.
