That almost happened to me during one of the gas shortages in the 1970’s!

Heh, you’d think that the fellow who owns an auto repair business would have a 2.5 gal jerrican of gas in the trunk …

    Morning, Vagabonds.

$3.39 is cheap? Yesterday I bought it at $3.04.

Today on August 24, 1919 GA became a daily every day strip. Prior to since November 1918 it ran only Sundays.

$3.05/gal here. New Jersey, if you feel like making the drive. The reason the prices are so low? Low gas taxes. Which is why the roads in NJ are crumbling everywhere. I would gladly pay an extra 25 cents a gallon to get some road repair done.

Gas is $3.24 in my part of Omaha, right now. It bounces around a lot.

Gas in Seattle and Western Washington is running anywhere between $3.75 and $3.95 per gallon. Much of that is in taxes and it’s still not enough. State legislators are considering adding a per-mile fee because people are driving gas-sippers and there’s not as much revenue via the gas tax. The idea of cutting spending never seems to cross their minds, of course.

Quick Slim, get out your tools and take the pump. Those glass topped pumps bring good money particularly if you’ve got the lighted glass sign on top!
