Silly question what does the nightstand do during the day? If it is no longer standing how does it hold you coffee, or are you an early riser?

I wake up my husband in the same way; have for 29 years (actually, our 29th anniversary is next week).

I’ve got to learn to close my blinds, so people will stop taking pictures of me early in the morning and putting those pictures in comics.

I think the cartoonist missed an opportunity here. Instead of falling back on that old line about not having had coffee, he could have the wizard explain that he was still recovering from his week as a shark…
