As if it wasnât confusion enough when they started using âtroopâ for a single soldier, now they start throwing the word âtroupeâ into the mix? Oy.
Fox broke away from âObama is the Anti-christ socialist that wants lesbian witches to preform Abortions while teaching evolution in kindergartenâ regularly scheduled programing.
3hourtour, thepeoplesmushroom: you gotta cut Faux some slack these days; theyâre sorta confused about whether to support or oppose the war. On the one hand, it was started by Dubya, which means it is a Noble Cause; on the other hand, it was escalated by Obama, which means it is an Abomination. Finding that fair and balanced perspective (an Abomination committed against the Noble Cause) is tricky.
Surely a single soldier is a âtrooperâ who belongs to a troop.
Similarly, a single performer is a trouper who belongs to a troupe.
Any deviation from this which may have arisen during the Bush era should be seen as part of the temporary suspension of normal usage, spelling and grammar sadly commonplace in those times.
Brilliant Mr. Trudeau; the first and second panels defining the FOX stage âas if Liveâ. The third and fourth panels showing the interested parties; going to be an excellent weekâŠâŠâŠâŠâŠâŠ
âFox News actually reporting the truth?â What they are actually doing is signing the death warrant of everyone at the wedding party with the exception of the CIA agents. The Taliban now knows who the collaborators have been who give information to the CIA.
Troop as one soldier, troops as many - heard it being used that way long before Dubya. Iâm not saying itâs correct usage, only saying that it goes back farther.
BPM and barticleâ Major Surplus & Survival link had an extra â-â at the end, that made it 404; persnickety gadgets, these!
Not that much real surplus anymore to be had; but I was kinda glad when the entrenching tool I kept in the trunk, and the young lieutenant thought heâd found a treasure to charge me for, turned out to be stamped âTaiwanâ â HA!
