Actually, poor Bernice is the dumbest girl on campus. She is being totally duped.

And, I’m sorry, but that party dude with the long hair and headband(?!) is straight out of the seventies. Evans is so dating himself. College kids don’t look like that nowadays, most have really short hair. Dreads would be more realistic in a long haired look for a young guy these days.

The difference between high school and college is amazing. I loved college and couldn’t believe there were so many people there that I could relate to (unlike high school).

OK, so it looks like this arc is about Bernice “discovering” herself. We’ll have to see how this affects her relationship with Lu, or if it affects her own academic standing, etc. I hope neither are affected adversely. If anything, I hope it opens Lu up to possibilities.

Anyway, it would seem Bern has survived this party in reasonable shape. Perhaps Tiff also. That’s good. Now get back to the books. :)

They’ll trash Bernice’s dorm and will disappear like cockroaches when it comes time to clean up the mess.

Next Bernice gets tossed out for breaking the Dorm rules. Gunth and Rosa return disillusioned. Now what happens to Delta to bring them all back together again?

I agree with Barry 1941 – wait until she gets her grades, or, at least, until the campus police show up. This is just the sheltered child learning about her personal freedom away from family. There will be consequences here to keep the comic going, but eventually the grounded Bernice will realize these people are just the campus fringe element who will pull her down and hopefully wise up.Gee, there are so many good stories going, what is with Luann and Quill, Brad and Toni, Bernice adjusting, are we ever ring to see Knute and Krystal again?, is Delta disillusioned with DC yet?, is Dez a drug dealer? Can’t wait for next Monday to see who we get.

I’m telling you, Bernice and Tiffany will become friends and Luann will learn just because you want to spend more time with your boyfriend doesn’t mean you get a full college experience.

Maybe Viper is Crystal’s evil sister. Anyway, this seems like a good place to break from the Bernice story and pick up on someone else. Kind of a mini cliffhanger. When will Bernice take her fall?

My guess is that Dez doesn´t existat all and was a plot from those two girls. The other students don´t know Dez either, just know that the party is at Dez´s dorm. The next day Bernice will suddenly realize that SHE is Dez, and she will be known for that name since then.

I am going to predict a plot here.. that Tiffany is going to get a little more than she is bargaining for. The issue of sexual abuse on campuses and new Title Nine statutes are a big issue in higher ed (I know this!!!). If the plot goes that way maybe Tiff will learn from it… But then maybe Greg is not going to exploit this issue…. the story would have to continue into next week for this to happen… We will see….

Bernice learned her roommate’s name from a Moony U document of some sort (on the Aug. 18 strip), which leaves me to believe that Dez is an actual enrolled student.

I’m beginning to line up with those who think Dez is a phantom student, possibly a hoax that’s been going on for years. It’s been a college “thing” for half a century or more, although with the dawn of computers, the whole thing takes on a much higher level of sophistication. I’ve heard of phantom students at Harvard, Berkeley and Caltech for sure, possibly other places as well. Oh, and Cornell!

It might be a “loud” party, but it doesn’t look particularly “wild.”
