Kurt: Just a few more routine questions, Boopsie... How old are you? Boopsie: 20. Kurt: Oh, no... really? Boopsie: What? Is that too young? Kurt: Too old. Mr. Hefner prefers not to use women who are... uh... past their prime... Boopsie: But everyone says I look 18! Kurt: I'll have to check with Chicago. Maybe with the right lighting... Boopsie: Oh, no... my boyfriend is going to kill me...

@rpmurrayI think, you have wilder past (or present) than you let on.

but were they still metal 35mm film containers or had they morphed to plastic by then ?

@tedsiniA brother from a different mother?

Ok people, I know they are film canisters. My comment was meant to be humorous way to point out how something that was so ubiquitous is now arcane.

They’re drug containers. Well, they are now.
pelican47 about 10 years ago
But why were they shooting 35mm? Wouldn’t you expect a Rolleiflex or Hasselblad at least? Or a 4×5?
Argythree about 10 years ago
Why is her ‘boyfriend’ going to kill her?
Packratjohn Premium Member about 10 years ago
The camera on the front corner of the table looks like a 4×5 of some sort.

Geez, Boopsie is 55 now?
mourdac Premium Member about 10 years ago
I thought Hefner just married them that young.
kzturtlegirl about 10 years ago
@argythree, that’s my concern. The use of implied domestic violence by BD is more of a measure of time passing than Boopsie being 55.

I remember sending off rolls to be developed (try telling that to the iphone generation). They were of my Nan’s 80th birthday. The photo’s I got back were a fat couple on vacation in Canada.

This ERA era anti-Playboy feminism just seems so quaint and silly compared to today’s habit of “sexting” and nude selfies, to say nothing of internet hardcore at the push of a few keys.

Is I just me, or does the playboy coffee cup keep changing size? In the first frame, two of the canisters are grey. The camera on the coffee Table does sorta resemble a Kinaflex 120mm TLR camera, but the canisters look like 35mm format.

ENOUGH about the film canisters people. Talk about beating a dead horse, enough already. Are you not reading what was said to the Boopster….20 ….PAST her prime!!! What is he saying if 20 is past the “prime” and she says she could pass for 18 to avoid being undesirable?….. Child photography abuse (don’t want to say the correct term, too disgusting!) Remind me of what is happening in the fashion industry. Models are much younger and thinner. Next I guess they will be chucking fetus’ and skeletons down the catwalk.

If the strip started in 1969, was Boosie 10 years old when BD started dating her?
davids.comments about 10 years ago
So Boopsie was 20 in ’79. She is 55 now.
bryan42 about 10 years ago
No, really, I’m pretty sure they were 35mm film cans. ’Course I remember used for quality bud.

Sometimes sarcasm doesn’t translate well.

So he’s already shot a half dozen rolls before he gets to that part of the questionnaire? Sounds like a crafty photographer, he’ll keep that film in case she gets famous later, then it’ll make Hef a bundle.
