“So I’m assuming Rosa has told Luann he’s not having a good time?” ^Luann knows Gunther inside/out. And vice versa. Gunther knows Luann almost better than “Quill!” does. Same way parents always seem to know when “Hey! Howya don’?” really means: “You got five bucks?” or “Sorry about your car”….

A good tip-off for Lu may have been Gunther’s use of the word “magical”, as if it would have people “convinced” it was “splendiferous” and “jolly-rific”… she probably figures that even he wouldn’t say that to describe a good time…

Quill! still doesn’t have a car, apparently. So Mrs. Berger drives him to and from Moony Uni every day? Or maybe he just stays at home with her all the time, and he shows up at Moony about as often as Luann shows up at Pitts.

NOOOO!!!! They can’t possibly say that the show/party was a hit! After all, the “party” half of that was all Tiffany’s doing, and she must never be portrayed in any positive light whatsoever! That’s why, after all the build-up for the Prom, we saw almost none of it, since showing kids enjoying it would be admitting that Tiffany did a good job of making all the arrangements. So just say that everyone (all 12 audience members) enjoyed the “play”, and leave it at that!!!

I love Quill and Luann. I love their college daze. I rather be in their world, than in this crazy real world where there is so much angst and competition. My oldest is a freshman in college and is so happy. She loves her classes and her roommates. She is in a theater group putting on a play in a couple weeks, and a dance co. doing a performance soon. She just got a lead on a job with a roommate, and is so excited about that. It truly is a great time and I am happy to be reading this comic at this time in our lives.

So, we need to discover if Lu is relying on past experience with Gunth, or if she has current info. from either Gunth or Rosa as to how he’s doing. I’m going to speculate that it is “past experience.” We know that Gunth sent Quill an e-mail, so that is current. I guess we’ll see, as this week unfolds, how they’re really doing (assuming this part of the arc carries through – it may not).

I’m glad all the “regulars” are accounted for (Knute, Crystal, Ox, etc.). We need Delta to check in, but other than that…

So, will the story line now go back to two other “high school” characters? Can’t we just leave them in Peru, the same way that Aaron Hill was left in Hawaii? After all, the whole point of allowing the cast to age was so that they would be placed in new environments and meet new people. Yet now it’s back to Gunther and Rosa, instead of meeting any of the “shadow students” at Pitt CC.

Quill’s raising Gunther as a topic of conversation on the drive home might seem a bit wily, if it were anyone but Quill, trying to gauge Luann’s residual feelings for her former friend….i don’t think we’re going to visit Peru, however, though obviously I could be wrong.

Even the Moony cast members (other than Quill, and director Manezone) didn’t attend the party, although of course they were in fact already there! This means that Greg Evans simply has no interest in them. 50 years from now, whoever is drawing this strip will show us these same 10 or so people, playing bridge together at the Pitt Senior Center, with no other old people in attendance.

Gunther is surrounded in the upscale plastic surgery clinic by insecure but wealthy Peruvian women in the their fifties who have come in for tummy tucks, skin peels, and face lifts, and who want some young guy to come up to them and tell them how great they look after their operations. Gunther tells them that they are knockouts, and he is practically all alone in a foreign country, and couldn’t they maybe be good friends. Magic!!!!

Peru…it’s a magical place.-I thought that was Tahiti.

BTDT.., Trust me, it isn’t. It’s basically France on a remote island. The only two islands in the whole “Society” chain with potable water (or that did when I visited last in 2006) are Tahiti itself, and Bora Bora (and the only reason Bora Bora has it is that there’s a brewery on the island)…. 8-O

If Gunther were on Tahiti, he better be extra careful and stick close to Rosa. Let’s just say, some of the “ladies” who might try to hit on him (the real “hotties” actually) aren’t whom they appear to be… He’d best “check the plumbing” before proceeding any further…. 8-O

Yeah, that would be nice and peaceful (as it seemed to have been, recently)… but everyone would be posting as usual, and he would come and cause “contusions” or generate a lot of negative posts, that would cause people to be “put off”. And no one would “take a shot”, but he would be the one to start. And now, it has started back again, 38 days and counting … – If you read his above (or even recent/previous) posts, wouldn’t/shouldn’t you say/have said something to him, the way you have to others for similar things?

Well, I can tell you, it’s probably all in the same way: “Never let the facts get in the way…” -The question would be if such was done on purpose ,.. to try to purposely “stir the hornet’s nest”… either way, though, not cool (to say the least!) – I had thought that maybe there was some sort of real life changes that caused some calm, but I see there wasn’t. Either that, or a “falling back”… it’s tough to say this, without sounding “demeaning” or “condescending”, but I do hope there’s “better days” for all, and that there can be “hope and help”, too….
