A friend of mine called it “Cheap Candy Day”. The day after Easter & Christmas were also cheap candy days. Money was tight for him and he’d stock up on chocolate to hold him over.

The gret think about Halloween candy is that you can eat all you want, because it has Hallowcalories.

I remember years ago my husband and I got a huge bag of cheap Halloween candy. It was a mixed bad of generic treats. One of them I’ve never forgotten: little cinnamon candies called “Laughin’ Louie’s Fire Chewies”. Normally I don’t care for mints, but those were addictive! Because they were in the shapes of tiny triangles, we ended up calling them “Roarin’ Reggie’s Fire Wedgies”. The sad thing is, we’ve never been able to find them again.

I wonder if hospitalizations for Type 2 diabetes spike in early November?
