I’ve been involved, Several Times, in events that showed up later in the Local Paper or on the Local News. Nothing in the “Report” was even VAGUELY close to the actual event(s) as they happened.
Those who CAN, DO!Those who CAN’T do ANYTHING RIGHT, become Reporters!
I’ve told you a million times. One grain of truth. ONE! We aren’t made of money. We aren’t FOX News. You’ve seen the ratings. You know the score. Truth doesn’t grow on trees!
Amen, unfortunately. Once the plant where I worked was crucified in the news for a pinhole leak in an 18-inch CO2 line operating at inches of water pressure. The reporter used a textbook statement of the dangers of CO2 in high concentrations in an enclosed area; implied that the whole town was in danger of being suffocated. Little matter that the leak was incredibly small—pinhole— and in the middle of a 10-acre field. Everyone who knew anything of the situation (and there are more than a few very educated people in rural areas) was rolling on the floor laughing. It was a ridiculous case of the reporter trying overly hard to magnify a trivial situation. That’s colored my view of reporters to this day.
Back during the Three-Mile-Island crisis, I worked at one of the sister plants (same design). It was a full week of reporting before the story in the newspapers came close to being correct.
Whenever I hear someone complain about the bias of Fox without mentioning the bias of the other stations, I automatically assume they are part of some of the biggest problems in this country: hypocrisy and political extremism. They are all biased and only a fool wouldn’t realize that. There’s a lot of fools here today.
It is really funny that Fox News is always being attacked. Obama hates Fox News because they report his lies and obfuscations.
Also, notice that no one is blasting ABC, NBC, CBS, and the worst of the bunch, MSNBC. Every one of them, until lately, have acted as if Obama could do no wrong, even though he has been caught in lie after lie after lie … ad infinitum.
So, my conclusion is that Fox News is doing it right. Their ratings are higher than any other cable news. And, when the liberal left blasts Fox News, we know they must be telling the truth.
Agree with the sentiments in this strip but having followed BC for many years I fear it is fast losing its traditional/concept humor in preference to statements about nothing to do with its period.
How dare others enjoy what I don’t want them to enjoy?!?!?!..Fox must be special to incite such expressions of hatred. Those who watch it must be heretics and witches and perverse puppets.

I hope this isn’t going to be another day of Fox News hate-it/love-it. Yes, Republicans love it, Democrats hate it. Can we move on, please?

It’s not NEWS, It’s Entertainment!Reporters are actors and they’re all vying for ratings.

It’s sad when bloggers are more widely read than true investigative journalists.

So if you all know that the news on Fox News is sensationalism and not factual news reporting, why are you all watching it?
