That’s what I get out of my uncle at Scripps Institute whenever I try to bring up Creation vs. Evolution. “It’s been conclusively proven…” …except it hasn’t…

Bingo!o-o-o-o-o-o-o-oYou can play too!Simply fill out a 3×3 set of nine squares with the most commonly found emotionally charged and bigoted remarks and when you read a comment section that gives you three in a row in any direction, You Win! They can be from either side of any argument, as long as they are based in personal beliefs or have a strong emotional content and are not dry and uninteresting facts only a goat could love.

The problem is not when a fool thinks himself smarter, it arises when he attempts to legislate his foolishness as an individual mandate.

Faux doesn’t use the “conclusively proven” line until they have repeated the same crap under the “some people say” line for a few days. Once four or five of them repeat it ONLY THEN it is conclusively proven. Gotta have some integrity here.

Yo, Stephan, yada yada yada, the past participle of prove is PROVED. A person is innocent until PROVED guilty. Proven is only an adjective. Just so you know.

Is this a 2013 rerun or not? It has a 2013 copyright date.

Then one would think Nab would be right up his alley. Mayhap Nab made a more nuanced point than we and, I confess I, usually give him credit for.

I know nothing about whether this is a rerun or not, though I have not seen it previously. In any event, the general point about the lack of reading in society today, and the habit of declaring one’s ideological beliefs to be “conclusively proven” is a valid one.

Ok, I am late with this so probably nobody will read it. Rat makes an excellent point. The current generation are a group of functional illiterates who would rather have a root canal done without anesthesia than to read a sentence of the written word. That is how statements like: "Research by Duke has conclusively proven that ______ (fill in the blank). Now those of the illiterati will take the statement as fact, (assuming it came from Duke University) and go shuffle off to YouTube or Netflicks or some such. Whereas if one looked into the matter the statement was made by Walter Duke after his usual three martini lunch. Soon everything will be video and we will get “conclusively proven facts” from the blow dried blonds on Fox News. Alas Babylon.

Just the kind of Big Lie loved to death by government types, especially in this government. In fact, just today the release of Alan Gross prompted this reaction: “These changes will lead to legitimacy for a government that shamelessly continuously abuses human rights but it will not lead to assistance for those whose rights are being abused. It’s absurd and it’s part of a long record of coddling dictators and tyrants." Which brings up the question, what’s the difference between Obama and Castro? One’s a heartless dictator who oppresses his people and abuses their rights, and the other one’s Castro.

Nothing wrong with the facts.Try checking the connection of the facts to the speculation. That’s usually where these things fail.Often I find that the speculation is so far removed from the facts that the extension cord heats up and uses all the power.Maybe you just need a bigger extension cord rated to carry more current. After all, five of the twenty foot cords end to end isn’t the same as one hundred foot cord, which has more conductive material.A 97% efficiency with 115 of 118 respondents isn’t the same as 97% of 10,000.

Sadly there is some truth in Rat’s last line. Seems it’s becoming more and more people have greater difficulty reading anything longer than the max for a single Twitter post. This post is already longer than a “tweet.” And I know of some who would yell that it’s too long to waste time reading.

How does a huge brain fit in his head without spilling out his ears? Also, it’s not the size of the brain but how it’s wired.
