Funny how words mutate (or in this case, mootate),but the comic doesnāt really reflect the basic meaning of āmootā, which is more like āopen to discussionā, or āas yet undeterminedā. We now more often use it to mean āpointless to discussāā¦weāre so lazy!

Maybe not, but it seems that serious thought is in very short supply. It is much easier to simply call people names rather than honestly engage in a meaningful exchange of ideas.
