Do not laugh. I had a conversation with my high school friend’s mom: she noticed and heard over a couple of months that the neighborhood biddies would watch and gossip over when she would open her front room curtains (suburbia in the 50s through 70s, curtains were closed at night) and tagged her at 9 am. She played mind games with them – sometimes the curtains were open at 7 am, a few days later at 11:30, just to keep them their toes. Once in awhile, someone would bring a casserole “because you might need this if someone is sick”, not realizing the subterfuge. All in good humor, but the family ate well and my friend ended up with a nice set of Corningware for her wedding: covered both the ‘something old and blue’ nicely.
You forgot the binoculars that sat next to the recliner; pointed soitcould see thetv and the window at the same time. Why do you think the picture window was created ??? Happy New Year !!!
Don’t close the curtains. We so enjoy watching all the ‘pickles’ you get yourselves into. Enjoy the last of 2014 & Happy New Year. We, too, made it through another year.
@kevlyn666“Now that the 4th wall is broke…. I feel a little pervy.”.I wasn’t going to say anything, but:AS WELL YOU SHOULD.Welcome to the group. It’s good to know yourself as well as you know your neighbors..“What you crying about, Sally?”“Them nosey neighbors been talkin’ about me.”“That’s good. If they’re talking about you, they’re leaving ME alone.”“That’s the problem; they’re talkin’ about me AND you.”(It made Trent feel good that his neighbors thought he still had anything worth talking about.)
Thanks, Opal, for closing the curtain with humor on what has for many been a pretty crummy year. Here’s my New Year’s wish for all the guys who identify with Earl: May your future never rip, tear, split at the seams or bust out at the elbows, and may all your suits come with two pairs of pants. Happy 2015, y’all!
To Pickles keep the curtains open us viewers can watch inside the house. Earl and Opal have more fun then we do.here is to 2015 for fun Pickles to read.To New Years Eve celebrations, like me for your birthday I know the feeling, Happy Birthday.I will be watching NY Times Square Rocking New Years Eve.

You ever get the feeling that some one, something, is watching you?.Just because you’re a little paranoid doesn’t mean somebody’s not out to GET you.
