Some people seem to prefer the quick and easy answers, and get annoyed when effort is required to reach a goal. I can understand this reaction from children like Calvin and that’s what makes it funny. I would hope adults realize this humor.

Since everybody is offending others this morning, let’s try offending people across the pond: Calvin – you need to be reborn as royalty. May not be exactly what you’re looking for, but closer than where you’re at right now.

I don’t think this was a “political” strip when Watterson drew it. What kid hasn’t wished they could clean their room or do their homework by waving a magic wand? It’s not a liberal or conservative thing…it’s a kid thing.

At times, Calvin is extremely outspoken and opinionated. He also has very few friends. This can also apply to adults.

How does a cartoon from 1995 apply to Obama?The fact is, it is the conservatives who are obsessed with Obama and feel the need to attack him even in an apolitical setting such as Calvin & Hobbes.
