Don’t worry, Frank! That’s still better than some apartment building superintendents… – On the bright side, you’ve “saved yourself some time”,by waiting to do it all at one time! There’s enough gunk and stuff “caked up” so that you can have done 12 years’ worth of maintenance, all in one “fell swoop”! Just need a chisel and hammer…. – And too, just think of all the “dust bunny families” who are grateful to you that they and their “grandkids” shared some happy memories living in all the “nooks and crannies”….

After that many years, he may want to change those first two to “Replace smoke detectors” (because the dead batteries are now corroded), and “Replace dryer hose” (because all the lint is now hardened in the hose).

So Frank procrastinates a bit. I don’t see that that’s such a bad thing, as the household seems to be running pretty well as is…. (Signed, Notorious Procrastinator)

…and then there are those chores that should be done periodically, but rarely are: checking tire pressures, cleaning windshield wipers, dusting where you Can’t see, cleaning the computer mouse, etc. etc. etc.

“Anything else is purely in the mind of the viewer.”Apparently you are in the minority. It’s plain to see that Nancy’s secret desire is to strangle her ne’er-do-well hubby in the last panel. As for him, the horrifying snap of a garage door spring on his unsuspecting wife is the weapon choice. C’mon Evans! Push the mailbox!

“Anything else is purely in the mind of the viewer.”.I think you left out a word“Anything else is purely in the twisted mind of the viewer.”or“Anything else is purely in the sick mind of the viewer.”.Something else, anyway.

“Agreed, not sure why people want an unhappy couple to stay together. I’m trying to stay positive, that they’ll both separate and find happiness with different people. We can only hope!”.Negative vibes..Creativizing unhappiness when it is obvious there is deepest love..Desiring unhappiness when it is obvious there is bliss..Seeing apathy or hatred when it is obvious there is concern and joyfullness.Hoping for bad when it is obvious there is good..Deepest, darkest negative vibes. Let there be light.

“I feel sad for them if it’s the latter and an indication of their home lives.”.Me too. They read like they’ve known nothing but misery so long they don’t even recognize love when it stares them in the face.SadVery sad

Snark is not insults. Snark is sarcasm.

But you have a point. All of the characters snark at each other on Sundays, not just the DeGroots.

SPOILER, ETC.-Cat being let out of bag, let me say that I had hoped that Mrs. Berger would have packed Gunther’s bags and sent him to the dorms. Instead, she’s still doing other types of packing. Even Quill seems less than jolly about Gunther’s ’tude…-Bad show, Gunther dude…
