forget my earlier “Ernie Douglas” (Barry Livingston) reference, Bobby is looking more like a junior version of annoying TV “chef” Robert Irvine….

Do you guys remember the movie 1941? The two guys sitting in the ferris wheel on the dock watching for Jap ships etc.? Bobby is that one that wore glasses, had that ‘high-pitched’ irritating voice and had the ventriloquist dummy! He was kind of a ‘Jerry Lewis’ type of character.

I’m pretty sure that in the real world, Wiley is doing just what the rest of us would do…taking whatever leeway the ref will give him.

I suppose tomorrow Kaz will scream at Bobby for not getting him the towel.

Second pass observation. What is under the towel in panel three that is doing the talking? Maybe this really is the guy from 1941 with the dummy.

In P2, Bobby isn’t even looking at the game, so how would he know if Wiley picked up a foul? Is he telepathic on top of every other issue?

Well look at that. The writers must be reading Mopped Up Thorp and yesterday saw my panel having Kaz yell at Bobby that he’s supposed to be in charge of towels and water. And today he’s telling Bobby to get a towel. I think they read MUT, then called their distributor and ordered them to change today’s Gil Thorp. Yep, 100% positive that happened!
