Bob: What's with the lemon water, Joe? Joe: I'm trying to lose a bunch of weight I packed on over winter. But I don't need to drink beer to enjoy the company and witty banter with my big brother. ...Or not. Bob: Hey, we're guys. There are rules.
i remember drinking Pabst Blue Ribbon when a local bar imported some during a beer strike (thank goodness we havenât had one of those in a decade or three). i may as well have been drinking water for all the effect it had on me. nowadays, my tastes have matured some. i tend to prefer darker ales and even some stouts.
From someone who drinks something that would have an little umbrella in it he has a heck of a lot of nerve to complain about lemon water (which is considerably better than light beer!) BTW swallow enough air while youâre sipping that water and you can belch with the big boys!
Heâs trying to lose weight so he can fit into his pants & go out with Victoria.
I handed a glass of a popular local beer to a friend of a friend, a veterinarian. I said, âWhat do you think?â and he said âIâm sorry, but I think your horse has diabetes.â
yyyguy - you need to stop drinking American âLightâ beer (which is just water) and try CANADIAN light Beer (Blue Light or Molson Light for example).
Americanâs who drink it think itâs as strong as their âregularâ beer.
So now all of yesterdayâs questions about the identity of Joeâs brother are answered. Wiley, you are quite the prognosticator to be able to anticipate like this.
A friend of mine once asked me âWhy are American light beers like having sex in a canoe?â I said I didnât know and she replied âTheyâre both effinâ close to water.â (Although she chose not to use the censor friendly version)
@MisnngNOLA==I have had a ten minute version of that joke
since in the 1970âs. Much more detailed, involving a national contest for best slogan for a Colorado based light beer company.

Lemon water is heavier, and tastes better.

This is the first time Iâve seen Bob actually take a sip of his drink. It usually just sits on the bar in front of him.

So Joe has a brother?
freeholder1 almost 15 years ago
So the weight is whatâs ailing Joe? Or is it the aleing thatâs weighting Joe?

Until micro brews, all American beer was lite beer. Canukistan still makes better wiskeyâŠ..

Joeâs trying to lose weight has nothing to do with his trying to get into his pants.

I used to drink only a certain light beer from Colorado until I went to England for a few months. Boy did that experience spoil me for American beers!
vexatron1984 almost 15 years ago
Any kind of beer is nasty! And that does take come nerve coming from a guy with an umbrella in his drink.
