Oh look, it seems Tom is going to get Aunt Molly’s fence whitewashed. Tom did not even charge Kirbee to whitewash the fence. Yet.

The world has been reduced to radioactive dust, all of mans dreams and aspirations are laid to waste. Civilization is is forever stunted, leaving those still alive, grasping for crumbs in the dark. A terrible mutagenic disease threatens “humanity”.In spite of all this..We really haven’t changed…Not one bit.
She has such a gentle spirit, and she’s so prone to being done over. In life, the people most deserving to survive are the most vulnerable. Therein lies one of the greatest keys to storytelling.
I’m hoping that Kirbee will survive her encounter with Undead Jim (providing he isn’t really dead) though dealing with a living breathing Jim will definitely change her.Kirbee definitely reminds me of Holly in that she really does care for people (which is remarkable for in a culture where one is only supposed to care about one kind of person). Still, I have a feeling that Holly (even at the beginning of her story with Wally) was somewhat less naive than Kirbee seems to be.
Yep, I am sure of it now…..these were the two guarding Jim and Holly who STILL have not told anyone it was their fault they escaped.“Gee Chief we came up to the door and they were gone…….Oh sorry sir…yes that is egg on my face…..I get a bit messy at breakfast.”
Perhaps Kirbee will find Jim under the ladder, free him, and he will run out the open hole in the wall. A psychotic raccoon, running into a fight ring meant for Wally. Wally already ready to die wouldn’t put up much of a fight, so Jim would probably go for the raging reptile. Although I’ve never been to good at predicting things like like this so I guess I’ll just sit worrying about Wally, Holly, Chic, and now Kirbee until this is all over
Question: Is it better to read Endtown every second day as it comes out or save it up to read once a week? The wait between strips seems endless (appropriate for ENDtown) and I wonder if it might be relatively painless to read them all in one go and get on with one’s life! Of course, then it would take ages to read all the comments with each strip.
We’ve known three Topsider women so far: Flask, Linda, and Sarah. None were pleasant people before mutating, and at least two were unpleasant afterward. Linda may turn out as nasty, and may have to be with what’s probably going on in EndTown. It seems to be a common trait among Topsider women and why they’ve survived in their society. So Sarah is NOT going to be anything like Holly.
I doubt Jim survived. It’s not like SS is anything new. They’ve dealt with it before. They had the gas on hand and knew to plug up the holes. She may eventually run into Holly and Chick in the Laundry Room, but I don’t think Jim will give her any trouble. His whole reason for existing was to paint a clearer picture of SS. Rest in peace Jimbo, You ended up with a lot more lines than previous “expendibles”. ;-)

Kirbee is the Reptite equivalent of Holly. Too trusting for her own good. Wonder if she has a Reptite Wally waiting for her at home.
