Wally forgoes the gloves to wear his heart on his sleeve instead. His big moment will come, as apparently it has for many others. His passivity is disconcerting as he willingly goes to his doom.Meanwhile is there an undead Raccoon waiting in the dark?Monday cannot come soon enough!

They ralk as if they have some kind of sample size. That’s worrying, somehow.

If Wally wears boxing gloves, he can’t use his claws. Already the fight favors Phil…

I notice one thing. The comment of the lizard in panel 4 that outsiders are humorless spoilsports. This kind of thing has happened before in the arena and Lizard town, others have met the same fate, none have made it out alive even if they won the fight or were permitted to leave.I mentioned once before that I believe once you are in Lizard town you are not going to leave…..its all a lie about leaving. I believe no one left to begin with. Lizard leader made promises they can leave in peace but I think there is a different reality to his promise. If this Lizard leader is so concerned about the Species war happening it would be in his best interest to NOT allow more furry mutants to join the ranks against him. So they never leave this place or if they are escorted out they never make it to the next settlement.Kirbee may find more behind those walls than one dead Jim.

The more we learn of this “civilized” society, the more surreal it appears to be…Good job, Aaron…

I can agree with you on that. The Roman Empire kept up with that.To keep the Mob distracted and amused send in the undesirables and put on a show. This Wally and Phil fight for example Phil the Gladiator…..Wally…the undesirable furry mutant.I personally if having lost my love to such like Wally feels I would be thinking nothing but disemboweling my opponent and running around the ring with the innards and throwing them at the spectators. Then daring the next fool to take me on….that is my more darker side, the monster I keep back there just in case.

He doesn’t get beaten by the lizards at this time. The lizard doesn’t get him. I’m explaining this to you because you seem nervous…EndTown is sort of like Princess Bride, with Aaron telling us things will be okay, with his auction pictures. We know Wally, Chic, and Holly will survive and leave Lizardtown, and make it to the Green. However, it’s also sort of like Babylon 5, where we know what will happen, but not the context or how it will happen. We know where they’re going, but not what they’ll suffer through to get there. It’s all fun and games until someone loses an eye, and we already know about the eye.Wally doesn’t get beaten by the lizards, and it may not be fun and games for the lizards like they expect.

I just voted on those awards. Those few who know me know which two I would vote for. I don’t know all those other comics. I haven’t read some of them. I hadn’t HEARD of some of them. Forcing the ranking vote skews the result. I’m not happy about that.

Aaron, I want to thank you for letting us know our favorite furrieswill come out through this. I feel so sad for Wally as he looks so broken. When loved ones are lost or absent, with no way to find out which, it would throw anyone into depression.

“Do I need to sign someone out of Word Press so all my alters can vote? "I didn’t have to sign in to vote, so I assume that the voting system is looking at IP addresses. If your work setup has the one IP address, you probably can’t vote more than once.

Topsiders are a possibility. The question is whether they will have trouble finding a colony that is hidden under one of these compressed dust mountains. It could be that their scanners can tell the difference between the real thing and and a fake. The other question is are the lizards leaving foot prints? They are walking on compressed dust (I believe) that seems to have rock like properties. It may be that it doesn’t yield to form footprints. If there are footprints, then the elaborate ruse with the fake mountain would be a waste.I remember Piotr of the “Reptilians” being somewhat dismissive of the Topsiders’ long term survival? Is he assuming that they are going through limited resources so quickly in their mutant hunt that they will soon run out of the things needed to maintain their biosuits, leading the suits to break down and the TS to mutate whether they like it or not?

Has anyone noticed the chart on the wall in panel 2? Is that a ranking chart for an on-going tournament?
