Doesn’t do any better than Wile E.

Coyote was using the wrong bait. Roadrunners don’t eat birdseed. They like lizards, snakes & small rodents. One of very few natural predators of rattlesnakes.

In the cartoon, ACME is eventually revealed as being “A Wholly-Owned Subsidiary of Roadrunner Corporation”, which of course indicates that Road Runner was in control of the company’s products. His position would then allow him to pass on all the faulty or untested goods to Wile. E. Coyote, thereby sabotaging his plan before it even was put into action.

Does anyone born in the last 25 years understand the cartoon reference?

A roadrunner’s top speed is about 20 mph.A coyote can reach a speed of about 43 mph.My entire childhood was a LIE!

The inspiration for “Condorman” — I hope he manages to get the improved wing-set (the one with which Woody rescued Natalya).

It won’t work without red boots

Yet another fine Acme invention.

I ran into a Roadrunner years ago when I went golfing with my Dad in Tucson, AZ. The damn things were all over the course, sand try as I might, I never hit one with a golf ball..Oh, and I didn’t “run” into one in the car, either…(snerk)

A little mushroom cloud of smoke in the 3rd panel would have been a good addition.
