Jon: You know, Garfield, I often wonder if I could have been a doctor.
Garfield: I have a splinter. When you're done fainting, I'd like to know where you keep the tweezers, Doc.
My daughter loves animals and has a natural rapport with them. I asked her if she wanted to be a veterinarian, and she said no, because she couldn’t stand the thought of giving them shots or seeing the blood.
A classic show on PBS was Allo Allo about Rene a French cafe owner tries to ride out World War II. Caught between the Gestapo and the Resistance and forced into working with both, René also struggles to hide evidence of his affairs with the waitresses from his wife, who, though she can’t carry a tune, frequently performs as a singer in the cafe.

What’s the name of the British TV show about a doctor who has a fear of blood? Jon here is reminding me that right now.

Bill Owen in “Last of the Summer Wine” really made that show and, when he died, it seemed to have lost a large part of it.

Jon might be better off fainting then helping remove a splinter.
