To all Calvin and Hobbes readers:GoComics has contacted me this past week, and they have requested that I provide a link to their comic strip archive every time that I post a comic strip here in the future, in order to help them generate more revenue.I am concerned that GoComics is struggling financially, and I would like to encourage all of you to consider upgrading to a GoComics Pro membership, for 99 cents a month, if you can afford it. It is a real bargain.By purchasing a Pro membership, you will no longer have to view the pop-up ads on GoComics, and you will receive several other benefits. For a list of the Pro benefits, please click on the link below. To upgrade to a Pro membership, click on the link below and then scroll down to click on “Upgrade Now.”Click here: www.gocomics.com/help/proI would also like to encourage everyone to visit the GoComics archives frequently. Every time you click on a GoComics page, or return to your current GoComics page, or refresh a page, or click on an ad, you are helping GoComics to obtain more advertising revenue.Thank you very much for your consideration. We all receive a lot of benefit from this site, and we all have a stake in its financial success. Please do as much as you can to help GoComics. Please feel free to share this information with other GoComics readers who do not post on Calvin and Hobbes.— Hobbes
I would upgrade to Pro if I did not have to get the comics in my e mail. I prefer selecting the ones I want to see when I want to read them. I get several hundred e mails a day and I don’t want my favorites getting lost in the spam filter.

This rather reminds me of a time when a brilliant but rather shy girlfriend got it into her head to completely shave “things.” She told me that the next day at work she was nervous as a cat because she was just certain that people could somehow tell.
my hubby got me this subscription a while back and i love to read my favorite comics. i plan on keeping my subscription for as long as i can read the funny papers
Regarding Hobbes comment, it is obvious he and I are in full agreement. There is no such thing as FREE, and I feel sorry for those who disagree. Some way, somewhere, somebody must pay to support any service. It is how the world works! For about a buck a month ($.99), you can make a difference..Regarding today’s strip, not in Calvin’s time of course; but in current times, some folks choose to wear their underwear on the outside of their clothes, or wear their pants belted at their knees with their boxers or briefs visible to all the world! For the life of me, I will never understand either concept…

Bunches less ads when you pay. Gotta get the scratch somewhere.

GoComics – consider more payment options such as PayPal, this would enable more would-be subscribers from far-flung places to go pro

I’d be happy to Pay my Pals at GoComics if they’d meet me halfway and find a payment method other than a credit card. I also do not own one.

Also there is much greater security with a credit card than a debit card or paypal.
