It’s still funny and still provided me with a chuckle this morning!
I don’t comment here that often anymore, but I do read this strip everyday without fail, and I still count it as one of my very favorite strips!!!! It’s sad to see so much negativity in the comments nowadays……
Ya just can’t please all the people all the time…….
‘tis funny to me, too. There is another component to consider: we would expect Poncho to mount his captured quarry, but Hudson, the over-obedient? What an interesting layer of complexity this has presented. Just playin’ around here. It’s only a cartoon, but…….
This made me laugh out loud!.As an aside, IA with the posters who had a laugh for the day about this, too..Nice to “see” you again StelBel. I was just thinking about your possible upcoming movie about the arc that just passed. You must have had some good ideas percolating… As a matter of fact, I stopped reading the comments about it, after a few days, because some people were real spoil sports about that story, and I was having so many laughs every day.
Today’s strip is funny-ish. Here’s the problem – Paul is Canadian, it’s hockey season, his favourite team is TOAST, he’s in mourning, give him a break. Tomorrow’s strip will be a sure winner – a power play! Go Paul!
I thought it was kind of funny to see a critter mount a trophy from a human on his wall, considering how many humans mount trophies from critters on their walls…
I miss you Stel-Bel. I look forward to this cartoon every morning…and your comments always set a positive tone for the others….too many critics…just move on.
I agree — this made me chuckle so what if it wasn’t 100% ‘original’. Being a cartoonist has GOT to be one of the hardest jobs out there. I mean really? We ALL have one or two good cartoon ideas in us, but 365 a year year in and year out? Yikes!

It was done much, much better in Gary Larson’s “The Far Side”!

Good morning everyone. Yes, we need an original. Y’all have an adventurous day my friends.

Everyone is entitled to a bad day. I’m sure even cartoonists get writers block & need to “borrow” an idea, or just use a little filler between arcs.

If the joke was not funny, it would never be repeated.
