I have often wondered why the NFL with it’s billions in revenue has never seen fit to just make universal heath care a benefit for all of it’s veterans. The accountants concern of what slice of income needs to be carved out of the current players agreement share totally misses the moral obligation of these profits to their retirees. And a reasonable definition of a veteran cannot be all that difficult if the one wishes to address the dilemma.
This strip has had a long and rich history of not pulling punches (sorry for the analogy). This is just one more shining example. I read where the judge approved the $1B settlement on the concussion issue. To be paid out over, what was it, 65 years? Really?! 65 years?! That’s absurd.
Yes. Tank is good. A little rest and all’s good. Just remember to wear a helmet for all sports. You don’t know when the next knock on the head will be the one to push the brain over the line.
