This is where we learn if reptiles have real backbones, or if they choke when the pressure is on.

The chimney effect is about to become a very major issue, too.

Given all the toughman fight buildup, it’s interesting that a non-participant winds up with the first concussion.

All three will be blown out of the shaft as the fire gets more oxygen.

She needed her hands free to climb, and she needed her mouth free to get Holly’s name right!

It’s not Jim. Outsiders are attacking Herpetopolis. That’s a gloved hand around her neck with all fingers intact. It’s also coming from the same height as Kirbee, so unless Jim grew a few feet, he couldn’t do it.

In the first panel, shouldn’t we see the “rope” hanging down?

She first started up that shaft with the rope around her neck she had the length going down her back behind her. I noticed it then and knew this would be the result. Now they need to climb before Kirbee passes out.Kirbee probably needed to tie it around her waist but she is ditz. The thing about the fire is it will rush up the shaft till the air starts flowing down the shaft to feed it. That chute is going to hot really quick.

That could be the bitter end of the laundry line we are seeing, but on first glance, I thought the line had broken, and the loss of resistance just caused Dirbee to fall backwards and hit her head on the wall. But something, or someone, would have had to caught the line to prevent Chic and Irving from falling back. Firbee’s collar could be just bunched up, or someone may be holding her. For clues to these questions, or maybe different ones, tune in Wednesday for As the Worm Turns . Oh, and vote at TopWebComics, to help Endtown and Doc Rat finish the month strong. Voting links in my profile. Thanks, JusSayin

Well there’s the end of the reptile retreat. No internal way to combat a fire? Wonder what the ventilation system is like, not likely to have much breathable air in a short amount of time.

So what will we have then? A bunch of roaming lizards in search of a new home, mark that an army of roaming lizards looking for a home.
