You got a ticket today mom?
I was going to tell you about it! Why? so that I can make it "Go away"?
If you want to dance you gotta pay the piper!
where did we go so right with that boy?
Family members do get tickets. It’s a matter of conscience vs loyalty. Know it’s fiction, but on plenty of police procedurals they have had the cops who see the action and the police family member deal with each other and decide when to go with helping the other officer- and when it’s better for the person to face the consequences. It’s better for everyone who has a chance to be near a street she’s going down that she get that ticket… or worse
Actually this is Joe’s mom and he doesn’t have a large family, it’s Marcie’s mom who married into the large family, and she’s a much better driver than Joe’s mom.

I find it very odd that a cop’s mom can get a ticket.

I know a cop who gave his own mother a ticket. He felt he’d hear about it if he let her off with a warning.
