Saleswoman: YOU'RE NOT ACTUALLY THINKING ABOUT PAYING FULL PRICE?? Cathy: No, HA HA! I'll look for something else! I'll look for a store that has the same shoes and a non-guilt-inducing sales person! I haven’t seen this scam yet. What it costs in gas and time to drive back to the mall to pick them up isn’t worth the 20%.
I guess the global hoaxing has blown over in Cathyland too.

It would have been worth it to just buy the stupid shoes and show the sales clerk that the dog and pony show that passes for a sale in today’s world is just not worth it.

whatever happened to “the customer is always right”? I f Cathy wants the shoes today the saleslady is supposed to wrap them up. We need to stop thinking its OUR job to please THEM.

Seems like Cathy is saying “saving face” is worth a lot. To her. Sad. BTW, whatever happened to all the commenters? Fewer than 10 per day, both with yesterday’s story line and today’s comic? Maybe nobody (but me?) ever looks at Cathy except “on company time …”
