Evidently…..When I’m wearing shorts, my girlfriend keeps pulling my crew socks down, instead of being puled up tightly……..

Nobody ever explains the socks-and-sandals taboo; it’s just taken as a given.

what about red ragged edge shorts with combat boots to mow the lawn…….I had an x that used to wear that combo all the time and the kids would not go outside when he was out there. lol

My friends think I’m crazy because I wear cowboy boots with shorts. It may look a little weird, but I don’t have to worry about snake bites (cottonmouths in this area).

Striped shirt and checked shorts would help…

A lot of men wear ‘pulled up’ socks with sandles. What’s the big deal. Janis should buy Arlo some ‘short’ (sneaker) ankle socks for him.

In cooler weather I used to wear socks with flip-flops. Just push the material back between your toes.

Just when I’m getting ready to put on my crocs without removing my socks (black) first. Just got home from church and hate wearing my dress shoes.

I tried sandals without socks, and my feet hurt. With socks was much better, but I finally gave up sandals completely. I wear quality jogging shoes with diabetic socks and my feet are happy.

Here in California, wearing socks with Birkenstocks is simply a given, especially if it’s handknit socks you made yourself.

Go down to your local high schools, kids by the droves dressed like that. It’s quite the fad.
