    The Sun has over 200 sledge hammers constantly circling in the Asteroid Belt, not to mention several gas giants. Jupiter is the hammer most likely to take out any wandering debris. The next known asteroid to nearly obliterate the Earth will be Apophis, which will pass close enough to frighten Doomsday Alarmists on April 13th 2029, though people with slide rules and pocket protectors have already figured that it won’t, and is unlikely to hit us in 2036, either.

    It is unusually quiet deep inside the Sun.Most of the action is on the surface.It is a quite soothing place to relax.
