Duke’s a definite survivor, lost at sea without (much) water or (significant) supplies, and he’s eating salted pretzels and drinking cold beers . . . Duke can get through ANYTHING with alittle chemical assistance, or, of course, without it, but then you have to put up with his moods.

The repeat shown on May 25 was originally shown on April, 19 (1982) and this was originally shown May 6, excluding Sundays, 15 days later. So, this 2 week arc repeat skipped 4 strips.

409 was also a CHEVY ENGINE IN 1959,it was very fast but tended to explode.

A171 was the hull ID of the HMS Endurance during the Falklands crises. I don’t know the rest but the are probably also British naval vessels that distinguished themselves during the conflict.

Beer? That’s it? I would have expected Duke to pack tequila or 151 proof rum in his “survival” kit.
