Well, at least the brothers-in-law have their life jackets on, right?

I spent a week on an Island in the Algonquin National Park when I was 12 with my Dad and a friend of his from work.I remember canoeing, portaging and being caught in a storm twice. Luckily, the second one was on only one half of the lake so we simply skirted it.It was also the first time and the last time I would ever want to eat canned Bacon.Holy cats, That stuff is seriously salty!

Spent a lot of time on a boat in the water, a submarine, meant to sink. A smooth voyage, don’t have to worry about storms.

Lynn Johnston’s “new” strips have had a mixed format. Some unresolved strips or ones that did not make sense have been reworked, such as the Sobinski family’s abrupt departure. The strips where Michael and Elizabeth have “stars coming out their butts” from being spanked have been censored. Just recently there was a reworked strip where Elly said “ghetto blaster”, this got changed to “boom box”. Another one had Michael get a Colecovision for Christmas, now the same strip showed him getting a Nintendo Wii.

I’m trying to guess where Lynn is going with this story…possibly something cinematic. Originally I was predicting a “Deliverance”-style bloodbath, but an unexpected “Brokeback Mountain” twist would also be kind of cute.

Common sense says you should go with the wind.
