So the selfie is the high point of evolution. Or maybe it’s evidence that we are devolving…

I’m certain it’s the latter.

Our future will be cropped, enhanced and filtered.

While climate change promoters would be looking at a picture of the piles of money to be made.

Humanity is definitely in a decline.

With apologies to Gil Scott Heron, The Evolution will be televised…….But the guy in the mirror doesn’t look anything like me…Even at home!

I never take “selfies”. Looking in the mirror, is depressing enough.

Selfies are the modern man’s graffiti – a feeble attempt at proving one’s existence and worth.

You know they really aren’t denying climate change. They’re denying that humans are the primary cause of climate change this millenium.

Selfies miss an important opportunity to interact with other human beings. My wife and I have taken photos of other people with their cameras, and asked others to take photos of us with ours, and it’s often a way to spark a conversation. Just last weekend, on the High Line Park in NYC, we passed a big family group with one member taking a photo of the rest, and offered to take the photo of all together. We had a pleasant chat practicing our French with tourists, they have a story about how real New Yorkers are not what they expected, and everybody wins.

A lot of life encapsulated.

I don’t really understand the comic but wonder where mankind goes from here. What’s the next frame look like?

I think he should hold out for the 65" curved screen. Then he will have truly evolved.

With as much as we avoid real contact with other human beings, I believe we have evolved into a new species: homo escapian.

In 1970 Gil Scott-Heron sang “The Revolution will not be televised”. Wrong: now it will be on YouTube.

I (IMHO) believe that there is climate change which has been going on since day one ! What I don’t believe is that it is ALL mans fault !I point to the shrinking of the Mars ice caps ! Goog it if you don’t believe me !

Jeez, and we’re not even half way up the hill.
