My wife once threw away an item I had emergency money hidden inside. She NEVER did that again without asking me first, if something was OK to get rid of.
I have a friend who had invested in original Beatles albums, mint condition – his idiot girl friend surprised him with a garage sale. She sold all of his $million plus collection for less than $200.
I realize that this is supposed to be all for laughs, but any woman who would go behind her husbands back and throw out his stuff is guilty of nothing short of betrayal.
It is really better to let the one partner clean out the other’s closet. That way, things actually get thrown away. Unless, of course, both partners are minimalists and don’t know what the argument is all about to start with!
Most women wait until their husbands die to clean out their husbands clothes. Earl had better check the closet to make sure he’s still got a change of clothes..
Take them to Salvation Army. Goodwill spends very little money for causes. SA has Disaster Services that can use the donations. Better yet during hurricane season donate cash. It is spent locally in the crisis areas and this time of year no one needs a wool suit or unwanted high heels.
We Have a 9 foot deep, 7 foot wide walk in closet. I have 5 Pairs of pants, five shirts and 2 pair of shoes. The rest of the closet is completely packed with my wife’s clothes. But Of Course I hear " I have nothing to wear" every single day.

You better check what she’s tossing, Earl. You may not be quite ready to part with them just yet.

But then if she insists on parting with them, I’d insist on cleaning out her closet of the things you don’t like. What’s good for the goose….

I could fill 5 huge bags of stuff my husband hasn’t worn in 15 years. But it would start WWIII.

Been married 30 years. I’ve never even opened my hubby’s dresser drawers, ever. If you have a reason not to trust, you have a real problem.

That’s just downright rude. My wife and I would NEVER do that to each other!
