Psychiatrists all over that area will be dealing with a sudden increase in the incidence of coulrophobia.

    I found this:

    coulrophobia

noun1. an abnormal fear of clowns.-———————————————————————————

So, now I’m really confused. What’s abnormal about a fear of clowns???What is the word for a normal fear of clowns?

Lucy didn’t include “coulrophobia” in this famous bit, but perhaps it is covered by “clown pantophobia.”

    “That’s it!”

Don’t understand “fear of clowns” — when I was a kid we had Clarabelle the Clown, Milky the Clown, and others and I always thought they were great fun — certainly not something to be afraid of.
