So much fun!

A bit of âbluffingâ, perhaps? -
An âexcuseâ to help us get to know them better? â Or perhaps a quest to be ânot normalâ, and to not have to âbow to the pressureâ of the âstatus quoâ or the so-called âeveryoneâs dreamâ frame of wedding?

Looks like in Brad and Toniâs opinion, they aced it.

Such quizes are clap trap, which is pretty much the point. There are always those who are going to say that a couple is doomed by superficial aspects or due to silliness like horoscopes. We had two people for such reasons separately state that we would fail when we were engaged, yet here we are 35 years married and still happy with each otherâŠ

remember when they were daydreaming about their lives together after theyâre married, and they had very different visions of the future? Des needs to deal these two a hand of cards, quick.

Brad and Toni, agreeing to disagree over trivialities and happy to do so. Sorry, TJ (well, not really)âŠ.

The only question out of those that I think makes a difference is the music one. That is really critical. The others donât matter much.

Brad reads Sci-Fi?? No Way! Iâd believe that heâs some made-up character in a comic strip before Iâd believe thatâŠ

âChristopher Cross â âFailingâ^Ha ha ha!!!
JayBluE over 9 years ago
Yeah, it is, thanks!!! (8^D) â It was due to the ânatureâ of the material for last weekâs arc (horoscopes, etc.). I didnât even see an âalternateâ element or subject that I could feel comfortable to discuss (personally speaking), as everything seemed to tie in to the one thing. I checked out the strips each day, and it was like: âWell, Iâll try another day!â

âSince there is a Baltimore, is there a Baltiless?^LOL! â But, yâknow something? There actually is ! Well, not so much in name. But where I live (in upper Baltimore Co.) and the other surrounding counties, it is sometimes a âcompletely different worldâ (plus, the city and county only share the same name, as Balt. City [proper] is actually an independent city, akin to St. Louis, and is regarded here as âthe 24th countyâ). Donât get me wrong, though! Of course, âthe burbs" are not without their problems, and the city itself is still a nice place (just like Chicago and many other cities are)⊠and too, some stuff is âover-hyped" (just like people say is done for Faux/Fox and CNN and even ESPN), though some stuff isnâtâŠ

Umpeenth hint from the Evanses. No. Wedding. Ever. Putting off planning the wedding is a running joke that will go on indefinitely.

Marriage isnât about how much you are alike, but how well you can accept each others differences!
dre7861 over 9 years ago
This must have been a dream sequence â Brad says the color of his favorite sweater is plaid. All one has to do is lightly review this strip to see that Bradâs favorite color is black for shirts and sweaters, of course with the two stripes on the one arm. So unless Bradâs borrowing clothes from Guntherâs closetâŠ
VirginiaCityLady over 9 years ago
While my husband & I have lots in common, what makes our marriage great is our interests in different things. We learn from one another and we never run out of things to see, talk about, or experience something new.
locake over 9 years ago
I wouldnât be so happy to find out I had little in common with my future spouse. Being compatible for the wedding isnât that important, but being compatible for a marriage is very important. What do Brad and Toni really have in common? Besides being firefighters. Hopefully the long-delayed wedding will never actually take place. Eventually B and T will realize how poorly suited they are and drift apart.
locake over 9 years ago
Plaid is not a color.

Certainly funner questions than:
âWhat religion do you believe in, if any?â
âWhat political party best represents your personal views?â
âDo you want children or no children?â
âIf youâre having children and have different political and/or religious views, whose belief system will take precedence in raising the kids?â
âIf having children, who will be the primary care giver? You, a daycare, a nanny, or_____?â
âWill holidays be spent privately at home, hosting family or visiting family? Which holidays and whose family?â

âAll who invested their time, money, futures into the area, are the losers.â^That was the #1 thing many of us had said⊠the ones doing the damage will be some of the main ones âcrying and complainingâ when they have to travel even further for things, among other more serious issues! â A true example of âcutting off your nose to spite your own faceâ !!!!!

âThereâs a better way to deal with things like that, in my humble opinion.â^Yes, youâre rightâŠ. and itâs true, for many other things in general. But for me, personally, when it comes to that particular issue, it wouldnât have been. For me, it wasnât just some issue of âdiscomfortâ, as if it were just Celine Dion rapping over the store radio, that Iâd have to âbear upâ with, until I was done shopping (LOL!!!!) . For me, It is more so a direct issue dealing with what Iâve learned is displeasing to God (from my own personal study). If it were perhaps just a brief âside jokeâ and there was something else that the arc was on for this week, then yes, I feel I would have been able to âbypassâ that one thing. But the whole week seemed to focus on it, as though the arc was almost giving credence to it, which I myself did not want to do⊠for me, the whole matter of âfuture telling, horoscopes, etcâ. isnât a âlightâ one. -Thatâs why I had mentioned in my comment on Monday, that I was all set with a list of âtitlesâ, and I also was going to comment on Luannâs usual âbouts of insecurityâ, but even that seemed to be connected to it, as I started to remember that arc in Berniceâs dorm (as Seismic highlighted in that one strip on Monday), so I decided it would be best (again, in my conscience and according to my own personal religious convictions) to just âabstainâ until it was done. Upon seeing Fridayâs, I thought Saturday was going to change the tone and all, but alas, it didnât.

There was one family owned sporting shoe store that operates in one of âthose neighborhoodsâ that was âlooted and sackedâ. The place was a mess, and the cost of restocking and cleanup was almost going to cost a single mom with 3-4 kids her job (as they had no way to know if theyâd be able to continue the business). However, they were able to âget it togetherâ, and also with the help of some of the residents, they were able to keep the store going, and she kept her job!!!

Itâs strange that their music choices are of bands that broke up before they were even born. Brad might was well be a Lawrence Welk Show fan.

If Bradâs taste in music is Waylon, then he has gone up in my estimations.
