Wally: “I AM going to bury my face in your raw, bleeding flesh, but I’m not going to watch that, either.”Holly: “Do you want some whine with that? Red whine for red meat, right?”Kirbee: “This is NOT what my mother wanted my future to be like.”

I think Kirbee’s comment in the second panel shows the theme for Endtown. Characters in this world can choose how they act, how to define themselves…just like in our world. But They have the added complication of waking up in a non-human body—so that definition must come from thoughts and deeds.

And couldn’t they wait till the fire was closer? Then the tail would be cooked, not raw…

Is jettisoning the tail a conscious or unconscious act?

I kinda thought that when their tails come off it would be involuntary. Like maybe he could help by pulling her when she pulls and it would just begin to slide off, like snakeskins do, so it would deglove.

It might be involuntary, but triggered by shock and fear. Wally’s doing a good job at supplying that.I don’t think Holly could bring herself to chew pieces off people again.

The lizard people do kind of look like a house gecko. I’m not entirely sure if those loose their tails, but I know that cresties can loose their tails if they’re startled by a loud noise

I love how Kirbee’s reaction to losing her tail isn’t just for the fact it could hurt, but just that it would be gross.

Wally, stand in front of Kirbee, and take her arms in your hands. PULL. Have Kirbee jump forward at the same time.If her tail is detachable, it’ll pop off then.Aaron, please let Kirbee live! I hate to see a “good” character die. She’s been ditzy, but NICE.

Wally’s threat to do so may provide the impetus Kirbee needs. She may have been the only “good” lizard in Sauroville.Just for the fact she still thinks of herself as a “Woman” and not a lizard first.Kirbee’s schism is a kinder gentler schism, a 180 degree turn from ol’ Jimbo the flaming wheel. It seems that even from beyond the tomb of flames Jim is making sure no lizards live to tell the tale.
