My father-in-law died @ 93 three years ago. Five years ago we took him to the WW2 memorial; he was maybe the only veteran there that day and everyone spoke to him and thanked him. Maybe the best day of his life, and of mine.
Frank, I don’t know if you’re still checking comments here. This is my first time reading through Bob the Squirrel. The first panel was unexpected. I had a reaction I can’t describe. You see, my grandfather fought in Korea. He helped with that memorial. His face is engraved in the wall along the side. Excellent tribute. Thank you.
