I’ll take gluten over tofu any day. Very sensitive to soy.

@Gokie5“I have a number of food sensitivities (not allergies – none of them make me break out, or have anaphylactic shock, ".After reading that list, I’m scared to touch my monitor lest it be contagious. There’s still several thousand things I like which are not on your list but I wonder if your list was comprehensive after that many..My sister-in-law, Becky, sneezes after eating anything with eggs in it..My brother, Raymond, sneezes lately after eating anything with vinegar in it..Lately I’ve sneezed repeatedly after a number of meals but haven’t identified the culprit.,I hope I’m not allergic to all food — although I have noticed it has made me swell up over the years...A friend of my son’s came to visit him in ICU three years ago when he was in a coma with West Nile. He is allergic to nuts, including my chestnuts. (John Eric seemed to have been allergic to West Nile Virus.)." All things considered, life is pretty good.",Especially when contemplating the alternative.

Tell the world you are diabetic and they will move heaven and earth to help you – tell the world that you are allergic to gluten and they won’t stop cracking jokes at your expense.

But then too many people believe modern medicine that ignores the problem (unless its celiac). Gluten intolerance will be a thing when the pharmaceuticals figure out how to make a pill for it. But since it is just a dietary change now, it doesn’t exist.

:-)That’s too bad, the part about food making you swell up over the years. It used to make the parts of me that were capable of adding on adipose tissue, tooch out. At that point one of my daughters and her husband lost gobs of weight and I stopped tooching via a low-carb diet, but we found it too hard to keep up that regimen. My husband has gone on a low-carb diet, which he observes except for his healthy mound of chocolate ice cream every evening. Oh, and the merlot for Happy Hour!

To paraphrase Calvin, the greatest proof of the existence of alien intelligence is that none of them have tried to contact US.
