Being a grandparent and weird, I consider Jeffrey’s observation both accurate and complimentary.

I have always heard Oui pronounced somewhere between ooo-e and wee.

my nephew had a neighbor , a kid who committed the sort of crime that makes the news. having waited at the bus stop with him over the years, my nephew said he had thought the guy was nice maybe a little off, but most of the people in his world were a little off. gee, thanks, kid
